Chromaleont c/o Department of Chemical, Biological, Pharmaceutical and Environmental Sciences – Polo Annunziata – University of Messina, is looking for two Researcher positions for the project “ForTuna”, with a 36 months contract staritng from march 2018.
Researchers will work on the following specific activities, as described in the projects:
- Development of analytical methods for the determination of the lipid and protein fraction
- Development of analytical methods for the determination of contaminants (heavy metals) in the lipid and protein fraction
- Characterization of polar and non-polar lipid extracts, protein extracts and micro- nano- formulations.
Researchers should possess the following qualifications: master degree in scientific field, good experience in the field of the instrumental analytical chemistry, and more in particular in the field of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, applied to the analysis of food and related products.
The two researchers, in collaboration with Chromaleont employes, will develop innovative chromatographic methods (LC and GC), characterized by high speed and high degree of automation, including sample preparation step, for the analysis of the lipidomic profile. In addition, they will develop HPLC-MS methods for the determination of intact proteins and/or peptidic dygests and ICP-MS methods for the determination of heavy metals.
Additional skills of the candidates: good knowledge of informatic media as well as of the English language, available for travelling in Italy and abroad.
